Frequently asked questions

  • What if I need more containers?

We provide the first 12 gallon container at no charge. Any additional containers we provide will require a $5 deposit per container. We will pickup two containers a week in our weekly service of $15 a month. If you require us to pick up more then this please contact us for a quote.

  • Where do I place my Recyclable containers?

We ask you set your recyclable containers on or near your front curb when possible.

  • What if I have more Items than will fit in the bin?

We first suggest that you break down all your chipboard and smash any cans you have to help the items fit. If this is just a once in a while thing and just a little more then one container we ask you put the items in either a small plastic or paper bag. If you have your own container this is acceptable as well as long as it is not excessive in size. If you have a larger amount then this please call for a special pickup.

  • How am I billed?

Once a month we will leave a self addressed envelope in your recycling bin for that months bill.

  • Can I pay online?

At this time we are not able to take payments on line or do an auto deduct from your checking account. If you are interested in this service just email us and we will let you know when we have this set up.

  • What days do you pick up?

We have found picking up your recycling the day after the regular city trash is picked up seems to work best for most of our clients; however some clients might fall on a different day.  If you have special needs please call or email us and we will try and arrange something.

  • Do you accept other items such as batteries and household hazardous waste?

We do not accept hazardous waste items. Once a hazardous waste item is received from a household it is no longer considered a "product" but then becomes a "waste". Therefore any handling or transportation of these items by us would fall under state and federal regulations and would require us to be D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) certified and licensed to haul Hazardous items.

  • What if I dont have curbside trash pick up and live in an apartment?

Email or call us and give us the name of your apartment complex. Once we find where this would fall on our route we will let you know the pickup day.

  •  When 1 ton of newsprint is recycled, 3 cubic meters of landfill space and 16 trees are saved.
  •  Producing a can from recycled aluminum requires only 5% as much energy.
  •  Recycling one ton of steel saves 2500 lbs of iron, 1400 lbs of coal, and 120 lbs of limestone.
  •  Plastics, which are made primarily from fossil fuels, account for about 11% of municipal waste by weight, but closer to 25% by volume.
  •  Land filling 10,000 tons of waste creates 6 jobs. Recycling the same 10,000 tons creates 36 jobs
